2011 M-Class

Mercedes-Benz offers two highly fuel-efficient M-Class models for 2011 – a gasoline hybrid and a BlueTEC diesel. Along with the ML450 HYBRID (335 total hp, 381 lb.-ft. of torque) and the ML350 BlueTEC diesel (210 hp, 400 lb.-ft.), the 2011 M-Class line includes the gasoline V6-powered ML350 (268 hp, 258 lb.-ft.), the V8 ML550 (382 hp, 391 lb.-ft.) and the high-performance ML63 AMG (503 hp, 465 lb.-ft). All 2011 M-Class models come with new-design outside mirrors and an inside mirror with an integrated compass.
Helping to underscore the M-Class as one of the safest SUVs in the industry, Blind Spot Assist is a new option for 2011 that monitors both blind spots behind the vehicle. Whenever a turn signal is activated with a vehicle in the blind spot, the driver gets visual and audible warnings. Another new option is a rear-view camera that reduces the usual 'fisheye' distortion.

2011 Mercedes Benz M-Class.

The 2011 Mercedes Benz M-Class ranks 9 out of 17 Luxury Midsize SUVs. This ranking is based on our analysis of 66 published reviews and test drives of the Mercedes Benz M-Class, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.[ Silver Dreams ] Mercedes Benz M-Class SUV, P...Image by UggBoy♥UggGirl [ PHOTO : WORLD : SENSE ] via Flickr
The 2011 Mercedes-Benz M-Class is pricey for its class. Still, if you’re willing to pay for it, reviewers say the M-Class offers a satisfying combination of luxury, technology and prestige.
The 2011 Mercedes-Benz M-Class doesn’t rock the boat. Car and Driver calls it “luxurious, refined, and comfortable.” Of course, reviewers point out that the same description applies to almost every other luxury midsize SUV. So why go for the M-Class?
You certainly wouldn’t go for the M-Class because of its price. The base ML 350’s price falls in the middle of the class. And, for the money, you don’t even get things that many reviewers think should be standard on a luxury SUV, like leather seats. You also don’t get great fuel economy ratings. The ML 350 has a V6 engine with adequate power, but fuel economy ratings that are nothing to write home about. All-wheel drive isn’t even standard on the base model.
No, you go for the M-Class for the same reason you go for any other Mercedes: cachet. The M-Class offers many of the same features as others in the class, but adds the Mercedes name and refinement. Though those qualities are largely intangible, reviewers say the M-Class has them in spades.
The M-Class also offers buyers a dizzying array of models to choose from. There’s the base ML 350, diesel 350 BlueTEC, ML 450 Hybrid and ML 550, which has a powerful V8 engine. The M-Class doesn’t aim to be the most practical SUV in the class, but it does take a shot at being the most exclusive. If you’re willing to put status before budget, reviewers say the 2011 Mercedes-Benz M-Class won’t disappoint.

Mercedes Accessories Representing the very finest of German luxury, Mercedes offers a well-rounded lineup of elegant yet reliable cars, SUVs, trucks, and buses. Mercedes models are consistently lauded for their high-quality materials, safety features, and quiet yet powerful performance. The company traces its roots back to 1886, when Karl Benz oversaw the development of the Benz Patent Motor Car, a three-wheeler recognized as the world's first motorcycle. Gottlieb Daimler and engineer Wilhelm Maybach are credited with producing a four-wheeled automobile just several months later using a Daimler engine. By the dawn of the twentieth century, the newfound company's first car was manufactured, taking the name of distributor Emil Jellinek's daughter, Mercedes. In 1926, Daimler-Benz AG was formed, giving birth to Mercedes- Benz. One of the first models produced by the automaker was the SSK in 1928, a fast-paced roadster capable of hitting 120 mph. On its heels was the 770, a luxury sedan equipped with an inline eight-cylinder engine and best known for its role as a parade car for the Nazi party during World War II. Mercedes Accessories.

1954 welcomed in the 300SL "Gullwing", a Mercedes classic. The Mercedes 300SL was initially offered as a two-seat sports car and featured fuel-injection, a single overhead camshaft, a four-speed manual transmission, and of course, gullwing doors. One of Mercedes' most talked about models, the 600, would appear in 1963. The 600 was classified as a full-size limousine and featured a power glass partition that could be employed between the front and rear seats. It was favored by many Hollywood-types for its exclusive presence. Also debuting in 1963 was the

The oil crisis had dug its heels in on the auto industry hitting manufacturers across the board, even Mercedes, despite the success of the 350SL and the introduction of the 450SEL 6.9, a sporty, high-performing version of the S Class. Mercedes rolled out the G Class in 1979, a rugged crossover wagon assembled for militaristic utility but available as a consumer vehicle.
